I believe a lot of it starts off as a child.  But I also believe that you shouldn't let your past dictate your future.  You can't blame a lack of a future on bad parenting.  Plenty of people have gone from poverty and horrible upbringing to fortune and success.  Even if your parents do support your own individuality and independance, that doesn't make a lazy person any less likely to end up flipping burgers.

Also, why can't you also address women in this entry?  Are we not just as capable of rising to the top as men?

True, childhood often shapes and molds the person you will become, but that isn't always the case.  Despite how your parents raised you, you either have the drive to have a successful career or you don't. 

Ok, I'm definitely trying it your way.  Anything has to be better than what I ended up with the other night.  My grandma has always told me that no man would ever want me because I can't cook...of course we know that's not true, there are ways to make up for it, right?

Now, for your next relationship, allow me to give you a few pointers:

1) Agreeing to bullsh*t is ok. You know that girl is going to stay in Korea 6 months at most and then go back. Most of them do. How do I know? Because I live in Asia myself, and I have been an English teacher too! So let her delude herself in those stupid ideas. Besides, Koreans are not precisely ranked #1 in penis size, so what do you worry about? Also, long term "shared" plans are in general stupid. I usually plan for yours truly only, and let my girlfriend[s] (yeah I have 4 right now) made their own plans in their little heated heads with me. Obviously since both me and the girls want the same thing (namely me) one of us (namely them) are not going to get it, so what? Agree with them and keep them happy, then do your thing.

2) Lie is ok. Whatever made you think that your current broad will be ok with you having shots with your ex? no matter how ugly or widescreen your ex has become, your current girlfriend will feel jealous. Lie man!

3) Don't you even think about telling your [new?] ex about the BJ stunt. That has to die with you, man.

And a final note, maybe because I am not so into BJs I would rather have myself impaled by John Holmes (if you don't know him google it) resurrecting that have any kind of sexual contact with drunk girls, or fat girls. It sounds like she has some self-esteem issues.  If she thought highly of herself, she probably would demand more than just the sex...she'd insist on dating and being treated with respect.  It's awfully hard to change your image of yourself though.

Is this for real?  Larry...if this is true, good for you.   I don't want to sound cynical, but the change you describe here seems a little abrupt and shocking and out of character.  Not that it couldn't happen like that---personally, I believe that God can do amazing things in our lives and if anything could change your life for the better, finding a higher power and thinking of others first would do the trick. 

Once, a few years ago when I first started writing here in MyDearDiary, there was a journal writer that stated she was a pregnant teen trying to make a decision regarding abortion, adoption or keeping the baby.  For weeks and weeks, there were about a dozen of us saps who read "her" diary entry faithfully, encouraging her to be true to herself and make a decision she could live with.  Some of the commenters were obvious pro-life and some pro-choice, but some of us were just trying to be there for this "poor" little girl.  Right around the time the baby was supposed to be born, the last entry was "ha-ha you little do-gooders!  This was all a hoax.  You wasted your time and made a fool of yourself."  I felt pretty stupid, but chalked it up to experience.

This isn't one of those things, is it?  Are you going to write a "Ha-ha! Fooled you!" next entry?

Well.  I don't know how I'm sposed to feel about that.  I'm a chunky girl, but I'm cute!  I'm good in bed!  Ask anyone, they'll tell you!  No, I'm kidding.  About the anyone part, I mean. 
I wonder... should chunky girls be insulted because of what you said?  I've never had a problem getting laid (not even with people other than my husband), but I wonder if I would get more offers if I weren't chunky, or if I would just get more offers from a**h***s.  I'd much rather be propositioned by professionals with well-paying jobs who don't mind spending their money on me, who treat me well, who stimulate me intellectually as well as physically - as opposed to short-sighted idiots without a row to hoe, who can't afford to buy me a drink before they try to fumble their way into my pants.  I have no use for men such as those.
Not that I would ever take those propositions, naturally, because I'm married and all.  But a girl must keep her options open.
So, anyway, if the chunky girls aren't self-esteem impaired, or lunatics, or overly-attached to their pets or horses, obviously don't have eating disorders, and aren't clingy/needy, then the only problem you have with them is that you don't find them physically attractive enough for your taste?  I'm not trying to be condescending, not at all, I'm just wondering at the male perspective.  It's always nice to have one.  A male perspective, that is.  Even when you're not a male.
